Our Commitment to Health & Safety

Our commitment is to keep our community safe. We will be following the guidance set out by the province of BC and the Vancouver Convention Centre. We are also working hard to enhance our cleaning and sanitization efforts during the show, and looking at all opportunities to help participants maintain a safe social distance, such as contactless registration.

We will be sharing more information about required safety protocols, including those outlined by BC Public Health, as they become available. Please see below for answers to frequently asked questions. We will be updating this page as we get more information. Please check back regularly.

Currently, the Vancouver Convention Centre requires proof of vaccination for all event participants entering the facility, including all staff, vendors and volunteers working on-site during the event.

Exhibitor staff and third-party suppliers setting or striking exhibits during move-in or move-out are not subject to proof of vaccination and may enter and exit the facility via Loading Facilities, bypassing proof of vaccination checkpoints.

Over the coming months, we will continue to follow the situation and adhere to the guidance of the Vancouver Convention Center, along with BC public health, first and foremost. We will ensure our members receive up to date with information as it becomes available.

We are excited to get back to our live events but continue to monitor the situation closely. We are hopeful that the show will go on as planned however, if the show is cancelled due to COVID, we will work with members to re-assign deposits to CHFA NOW Toronto, 2023 membership dues or issue a full refund.

We are working hard to bring an elevated experience to our trade shows and looking to incorporate technology in new and exciting ways so that everyone who wants to can experience the show in a way that works for them. More details to come as we get closer to showtime!

At this time, we are planning for full capacity. We continue to look to guidance from BC Public Health and will follow capacity limits that are in place at showtime. Our commitment is to provide exhibitors and attendees with information as it becomes available so everyone can plan for a safe and healthy show experience.

We understand that sampling is a critical part of the show, and how attendees experience your brand in a personal way. Currently, food sampling is permitted on the show floor and attendees may remove their masks briefly while eating or drinking. Please refer to the Exhibitor Manual for more information on sampling protocols.

Anyone entering the Vancouver Convention Centre for our event must show proof of vaccination ready along with a government-issued ID at all entry points. Please have these documents ready to avoid delays.

At this time, the Vancouver Convention Centre policy mandates that vaccination is required to enter the facility. A negative COVID test will not be accepted.

If you decide that exhibiting at CHFA NOW is no longer right for your brand, you can cancel your booth assignment. Please note that any paid deposits are non-refundable. If you would no longer like to exhibit at CHFA NOW Vancouver, contact us at sales@chfa.ca.

Depending on your travel destination, you may be required to get a COVID-19 PCR test or other eligible tests (check with your airline for testing requirements). See below for resources and testing locations.
